Biography:
Jeff Cox has been performing in the Boston area for over 15 years. Starting out in the early 90's, Jeff played, wrote and recorded music for original rock bands The Game and King V. Both bands played extensively in the boston area and obtained label interest from CBS records. Jeff also placed top 10 in Boston's Best Guitarist Competition 1992, 1993. Although predominately self taught, Jeff has had the privilege of studying with Charlie Banacos and Jon Finn. Additional studies include harmony and music theory at the Berklee College of Music and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
During the early 90's, Jeff worked at a local area music store, honing his skills by repairing and building electric guitars, amplifiers, customizing effects as well as providing guitar instruction. During this time, Jeff''s also preformed extensive freelance guitar work for various bands.
Furthering his interest in math, physics and electronics, Jeff obtained his bachelor and Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering (Sum Cum Laude) from the University of Massachusetts.
Jeff's current interest include analog and digital design, audio engineering, acoustics, original composition and improvisational music.
